Data Management Plan (DMP) Consultation

What is a Data Management Plan (DMP)?

A data management plan (“DMP”) is a plan that defines the handling of research data in a research project. Specifically, it describes the type and format of data, access and sharing policies, and data storage methods, etc.

Internationally, many funding agencies require the submission of a DMP when applying for research grants. In Japan, the submission of a DMP is scheduled to become mandatory for all research categories in the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research from FY2024.
The Division of Research Data Service can assist you in making a DMP. Please feel free to contact us.
