It has functions such as version control and access control of files to manage research data. You can share your research data with collaborators through GakuNin RDM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Usage Guide<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Members of Kyushu University can use GakuNin RDM. Please also refer to the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/support.rdm.nii.ac.jp\/en\/usermanual\/\" target=\"_blank\">user manual<\/a> on the GakuNin RDM Support Portal (<a href=\"https:\/\/support.rdm.nii.ac.jp\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/support.rdm.nii.ac.jp\/en\/<\/a>) for details on how to use the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Data Storage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can store your data in the <strong>Standard Storage (NII Storage)<\/strong>. NII Storage is limited to 100 GB per user and less than 5 GB per file. The storage per user allowance is consumed from the project creator&#8217;s capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.rdm.nii.ac.jp\/en\/faq\/#a7\">GakuNin RDM Support Portal &gt; Q&amp;A &gt; Storage<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use either the Standard Storage, as well as <strong>Extended Storage<\/strong>, which can be optionally add-on setup by the users on a project-by-project basis. For example, you can connect and use external storage services such as QRDM, OneDrive, and Google Drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/rds.dx.kyushu-u.ac.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/GakuNinRDM_QRDM_connection_en.pdf\">How to connect from GakuNin RDM to QRDM<\/a> [PDF]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adding External Storages<br><a href=\"https:\/\/support.rdm.nii.ac.jp\/en\/usermanual\/FileHandling-03\/\">GakuNin RDM Support Portal &gt; User Manual &gt; Add-ons<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>[Restrictions]<\/strong> Files and folders displayed on the Google Drive add-on are limited to those created or uploaded on GakuNin RDM.<br><a href=\"https:\/\/support.rdm.nii.ac.jp\/release\/25.05.28\/\">Release Note &#8220;GakuNin RDM (ver. 25.05.28)\u201d<\/a>(Japanese only)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Data analysis function<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Kyushu University is participating in the demonstration experiment of the GakuNin RDM data analysis function by NII, and you can develop and run Python and R programs using the trial version. Please follow <a href=\"https:\/\/support.rdm.nii.ac.jp\/en\/usermanual\/50\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the user manual<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/support.rdm.nii.ac.jp\/en\/usermanual\/52\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">activate the data analysis function<\/a> and create your analysis environment. It also works with GakuNin RDM storage. Please observe the following rules when using this service.<br>&#8220;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/support.rdm.nii.ac.jp\/item\/GRDM_Data Analysis Function_matters to be observed.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Data Analysis Function matters to be observed<\/a>&#8221; (Japanese version only)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FAQs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>FAQs will be updated as necessary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"qa\">Is it possible to share research data with collaborators outside the university using GakuNin RDM?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the collaborators belong to the institutions where GakuNin RDM is provided, you can share research data by <a href=\"https:\/\/support.rdm.nii.ac.jp\/en\/usermanual\/14\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">adding collaborators as contributors of your project<\/a>.
