International Symposium “Introduction and Development of Research Data Services in Universities” (with simultaneous interpretation)

A policy of immediate open access for research outcome including articles and evidence-based data is required in Japan recently. Each university is expected to promote the development of the infrastructure and support system for open access under the Open Access Acceleration Project. This symposium will provide an opportunity to discuss with practitioners providing research data services overseas. What kinds of supports are needed for open access and research data management at Japanese universities, and what information infrastructure, human resources, and organizational infrastructure are necessary to realize this will be discussed.
